Project

This project was shaped by the client’s vision to craft a shopping experience that feels both inviting and culturally rich. Rooted in her Jamaican heritage, the design embraces the warmth, vibrancy, and spirit of Caribbean interior architecture. The space blends bold colors, natural materials, and greenery to create a relaxed yet lively atmosphere. Inspired by the “Blind Date with a Book” concept found at Miss Lou’s shop, the space was reimagined as a unique bookshop that celebrates storytelling, culture, and community.

Project

A journey through space begins with a spark — simple sketches and handmade models shaped by design principles of form, positive and negative space, and repetition. From these raw explorations emerged a design inspired by the soulful warmth of Jamaican architecture. Here, you'll find plans, sections, a material board, and process visuals that trace the evolution from concept to interior — a story told through craft, culture, and creativity.
