2085 Narrative
In the year 2085, society is ruled by an AI "God" who oversees almost every facet of life. The world moves at an overwhelming pace, where instant results and algorithm-driven decisions have replaced human intuition and reflection. Actions that were once anchored in spiritual connection, such as journaling, handcrafting, or meditating in solitude, are considered ineffective and out of date. The constant demand for speed has left people emotionally disconnected and spiritually hollow.
Mindfulness, once a grounding practice, has vanished under the weight of automation and noise. People no longer pause to ask themselves how they feel or what they believe. Individual thought is optional in this AI-driven world, and personal routines have been forgotten.
Spatial Concept
My building is a spatial sanctuary created in response to the spiritually disconnected world of 2085. It resists automation by reintroducing rituals that nurture human connection and inner reflection. Rooted in journaling and intention-setting, the space promotes slowness, mindfulness, and solitude. The architectural concept is inspired by the astrolabe, an ancient tool of celestial navigation, reimagined as a spatial metaphor for self-guidance. Through layered forms, delicate textures, and grounded materials, the design reflects the depth and complexity of the human soul. Visitors move through gentle zones of stillness, where AI is silenced and presence is prioritised. Each spatial design is intentional, encouraging a return to forgotten rituals and personal introspection.
