2085 Narrative
This isometric drawing illustrates my proposed design for the Botanical Garden, thoughtfully crafted to emphasize a harmonious relationship with nature. The layout showcases a seamless integration of natural elements that celebrate both ecological function and visual beauty. There are various features that highlight the importance of water as a life-giving element, from gentle streams and pools to irrigation systems that nourish the landscape. Dedicated spaces for cultivating crops are also incorporated, promoting sustainable practices and reinforcing the garden’s role in food production. Additionally, the careful encouragement of lichen growth adds a subtle but significant layer of biodiversity and texture, symbolizing resilience and the quiet beauty of nature's smallest organisms.
Spatial Concept
This internal view of my proposed Botanical Garden showcases a deliberately overgrown aesthetic, carefully shaped through thoughtful design and architectural intent. The space embraces wildness whilst maintaining a refined structure, blurring the line between natural growth and human intervention. Within this environment, members of the Cult move freely through the garden, collecting lichen in the nude as a symbolic gesture that emphasizes a return to raw, unfiltered nature. Their presence and actions reflect the garden’s core philosophy: encouraging purity, connection, and immersion in the natural world, unmediated by modern conventions.
