The Nest

Hero Image

2086 Narrative

This project is set within the speculative year 2086, a future shaped by war and ecological collapse, where natural habitats, in particular those of bird species have been profoundly disrupted. Building on the earlier exploration of the nest as both a physical and symbolic space, the project reinterprets it not only as a site of shelter, but as an evolving expression of care, protection, and ecological regeneration. In this context, the nest becomes an architectural language, one that mediates between human ritual and the gradual restoration of the damaged environment.

Project

The architecture emerges as a network of interconnected tower structures, each designed to support these ecological and ritualistic practices. These towers are composed of carefully choreographed spatial moments: restricted-access ground floors foster a sense of collective identity and protection, while elevated spaces open into ecological zones such as aviaries and meadows. Together, they form a living system. Blurring the boundaries between architecture, habitat, and ritual, and reimagines the role of human intervention within a fragile, reawakening landscape.
