2085 Narrative
This project re-imagines Papplewick Pumping Station in 2085 as a sanctuary. Rooted in the preservation of its original Victorian architecture, the design blends classical elements with nature to create a harmonious blend of history and rebirth. The intent is to restore human connection to nature through sensory rituals using natural materials and spatial experiences that awaken touch, taste , smell, sight, and sound. This sanctuary becomes a spiritual vessel where the human body, nature, and architecture move in harmony to restore what was lost due to AI control.
Spatial Concept
This space embodies my project’s narrative: restoring lost human connections through slowness, ritual. A sound bath and weaving space inviting touch, movement, and deep listening. Light filters through tall arched windows, casting a golden glow across stone and earth-toned textures, awakening memory and grounding the body. Natural materials echo the rhythms of the earth, while the architecture harmonises the body, spirit, and place.
