Project

In a world increasingly flooded by artificial light and high-rise skylines, the night sky once a universal canvas of wonder has faded from our view. This project seeks to rekindle that connection, using design as a bridge between modern life and the celestial stories that have guided humanity for centuries. Through immersive, interactive, and ambient experiences, I aim to invite people to pause, look upward, and reconnect with the stars. The project honours traditions, myths, and superstitions tied to the cosmos, reminding us of the beauty and mystery that once shaped our beliefs and behaviours. By creating moments of darkness within the light, this design serves as a quiet space to reflect, imagine, and rediscover inspiration.

Spatial Concept

This installation creates an immersive labyrinth environment using suspended curtains as architectural elements, forming a maze that winds towards a grand central space. Rooted in astronomy, the maze draws on celestial navigation and cosmic patterns to challenge visitors as they move through the pathways and find their way towards the centre. By using curtains as ‘walls’, the boundaries shift from rigid to soft, moveable and tactile, highlighting the ever-changing movement of space and our evolving relationship with it.
