2085 Narrative

The rise of artificial intelligence has drastically reduced humanity’s need for creative thought. Paralysed by the fear of being overthrown, the government enforced the immediate eradication of all historic and artistic artifacts. To survive, people must pay with ideas, their worth measured and tracked through identity codes embedded in their fingerprints. This system ensures compliance, chaining society to a merciless cycle of intellectual taxation. In the new world, imagination is no longer a gift, it is a debt.
The Circa Animam was created to embody fluidity, chaos, and organic growth. It offers a vital refuge for those worn down by the wearisome routines of modern society, a space where individuals can finally express their true selves and identities, free from surveillance and control

Spatial Concept

The spatial concept for this design is inspired by naturally occurring patterns tied to human identity, such as fingerprints, microbial formations from oral swabs, and dental impressions left in mouthguards. These intimate, organic motifs were translated into physical form through cast moulds, capturing their raw beauty. These moulds became the foundation for spatial arrangements and structural elements within the circus, generating an environment that mirrors the unpredictability of individual expression.
