2086 Narrative

In 2086, society exists within a government-controlled holographic reality designed to conceal the devastation left by war. Hidden beneath this illusion, a small rebel group emerged after discovering an abandoned analogue camera containing undeveloped film rolls. The photographs reveal ruined cities, abandoned infrastructure and secret government facilities, exposing a fully virtual nation. The camera became both evidence and symbol, representing truth and the ability to see beyond manufactured perception. Guided by a government insider the group formed to preserve physical reality before it was erased entirely. Operating from concealed spaces within the site, they collect analogue evidence, infiltrate government systems, expose hidden truths and restore awareness before reality is erased.

Spatial Concept

Exploring ideas of concealment, deception and controlled revelation informed the development of an immersive architectural language shaped through fragmented spaces, layered thresholds and restricted sightlines. Set within a public environment, the site conceals a hidden rebel group operating in plain sight, embedding spaces of resistance and investigation behind everyday activity. Occupants move through sequences that blur the boundary between visible and hidden, gradually uncovering concealed truths through spatial progression. The architecture becomes a narrative device that manipulates perception, controls movement and challenges how information is viewed, understood and concealed.
