2085 Narrative

The year 2085 follows a story on how humanity can work together to rebuild and remap the world after a 40 year war with AI. Papplewick pumping station acts as a site that produces maps via stone lithography in order to remap the world. Those who use the site refer to the astrolabe in order to use coordinates for locations and proceed to find ways in which to work together with the help of steampower.

Spatial Concept

My explored concept was tailored around human collaboration. I began exploring how movement is able to portray this and took inspiration from the mousetrap boardgame. I looked at different ways of moving to get objects from point A to point B. Within the site we are able to see how workers work together in the process of stone lithography but also track the movement of the stone through the site; in-turn also tracking the movement of this process.
