Project

Located in Thame, Oxfordshire, the Cattle Market Museum and Art Gallery is a sustainably designed space that focuses on the town’s agricultural heritage. The proposed building features a striking sawtooth roof to harness natural light and accommodate integrated photovoltaic panels. Built using straw bale walls, it employs key Passivhaus principles- including high thermal performance, airtightness, and passive solar gain- reducing energy use.

Research

My research into photovoltaic panels, exploring how orientation, tilt, and tempurature affect efficiency, informed the solar strategy. Glass links connect the new structure to retrofitted barns, creating a unified, low-impact environment.
