Project

The Moyo Space is an African Cultural Centre in Canada Water SE16 2XU designed to celebrate African heritage through architecture and spatial storytelling. It consists of two rammed earth buildings connected by an elevated bridge one reaching 14 metres and the other 11. The scheme includes gallery spaces a reading lounge and green roof courtyards all designed to promote wellbeing and cultural exchange. Positioned opposite Canada Water Station the project acts as a gateway rooted in tradition innovation and identity bringing the spirit of Africa into the heart of London.

Research

The Moyo Space consists of two pentagonal rammed earth buildings connected by a raised bridge. Each level is uniquely programmed with exhibition spaces, workshops, a reading lounge, and performance zones. A green roof crowns the structure, while the interiors promote cultural storytelling, sustainability, and immersive community engagement.
