Project
This manifesto envisions a reimagined Ten Streets—no longer a quiet industrial quarter but a vibrant, connected corridor of creativity where performance becomes part of the urban experience. Theatres, cabaret halls, drive-in cinemas, puppet workshops, and open-air stages activate the streetscape, transforming it into a dynamic performance district. Here, architecture, movement, and sound converge to turn ordinary spaces into extraordinary acts of expression.
Accessibility is the foundation of this vision. The Ten Streets are not reserved for the elite but open to all. They are theatres without thresholds—spaces where anyone, from emerging performers to curious passersby, can participate and perform.
2084 Narrative
Sustainability anchors this cultural revival through the adaptive reuse of Liverpool’s industrial heritage. Warehouses become black-box theatres, containers transform into creative stages, and green infrastructure supports low-energy design. The district’s material palette reflects a commitment to environmental and cultural stewardship.
Here, local artists find their voice, and audiences become part of the story. From cabaret and contemporary theatre to experimental acts and puppet-making workshops, the Ten Streets foster ongoing creativity and community dialogue.
This is more than regeneration—it’s a cultural movement, redefining Ten Streets as Liverpool’s urban stage, where city, people, and stories converge in a powerful expression of identity and imagination.
