Project

Welcome to SKOGR, my immersive experience museum rooted in the themes of Norse mythology and biophilic design. SKOGR, meaning “forest” in Old Norse, invites visitors to reconnect with nature and mythology through architecture that feels alive and storied. The museum’s design embraces natural materials, organic forms, and a deep connection to the environment, reflecting the Norse reverence for the natural world. To enhance the immersive experience, I created handcrafted origami swords and elements, symbolizing the mythology’s iconic artifacts while adding a personal, artistic layer of engagement. These pieces encourage interaction and storytelling.

Project

In this section, I am presenting the Odin Tower and the Heimdall Room. The Odin Tower features a large artificial tree growing through its centre, stretching from the ground floor to the top, symbolising Yggdrasil, the mythical Norse Tree of Life. Each floor of the tower represents a different realm held within Yggdrasil’s branches, allowing visitors to journey through Norse cosmology as they ascend. At the very top lies the Odin Room, where visitors can overlook the entire castle structure and beyond, offering a full panoramic view of the Newark landscape. This elevated perspective reinforces Odin’s all-seeing wisdom and the god’s connection to knowledge and the cosmos.
