Throughout this project i have had the opportunity to freely express myself in ways that help to push my knowledge and expand my understanding on life as a whole. Having the opportunity to freely design my own museum on such a historic site is truly special. Taking that into consideration, i'm diving deep into immersive ideas, making sure that it not only engages people within the space physically, but also mentally. Striving for people to enter the space with an open mind and leave with a mind full. This place can't just be an ordinary museum. It has to be a lively space, where activities, community and being eco-friendly come together as one. Creating the ideal immersive experience.
My proposed design seeks to harmonise the built environment with its surrounding natural context, creating a strong link between the design, site and visitors experience. My proposal emphasises on an immersive journey created through the museum, focusing on spatial connection and an immersive, experiential design to create an engaging environment within my museum for users to connect with physically and mentally while also being able to be in an educational environment, providing opportunities for people to learn and engage.
