Atelier 01: Cabinet of Curiosities

Spatial Concept
My Museum will be focused on the concept of curiosity and playfulness. Humans curiosity and desire to understand and comprehend the enigmas in the world is so innate in our behavior. It is a driving force for us humans to accomplish the unimaginable and it is important to nurture and feed that curiosity and the desire to ask questions. At the Wunderhaus, it will satisfy peoples cravings for the incomprehensible. The Wunderhaus will be a museum located in Newark-on-Trent in Nottinghamshire opposite the castle grounds. Within the building it will feature many exhibits and rooms fit for all different ages.
This inclusive museum will house immersive and sensory experiences. puzzle and education rooms will be included to expand peoples minds and provide fascinating knowledge on science (specifically the human mind). The education spaces will be targeted towards more of the youth so they can produce curious artworks that will be featured on our interactive Wonder Wall. The museum will be a dynamic space to ignite that innate child wonder. The WunderHaus will take visitors on an unexpected journey with plenty of surprises along the way. The WunderHaus cultivates a different type of culture for Newark, a culture of inquiry and ensures that curiosity and imagination is never shunned as it is humanities main driving force for making advancements in the world and shaping the future we live in.
