The Natural Awakening
Atelier 01: Cabinet of Curiosities

Project
The museum design explores the concept of the power and beauty of nature. It does this through a carefully selected theme that exposes nature’s ability to reclaim any building or man- made object, through its own beautiful and graceful way. The theme of the museum has been put together to reconnect the people of Newark with the natural world as a response to the rise in the technological development that restrains us.
Moving through the museum, there are continuous reminders of nature’s power through its constant presence inside and outside the design. The museum exhibitions will mainly display photographs of buildings being reclaimed by nature taken by the award- winning French photographer Romain Veillon, supported by the workshop within the classroom.
