Project
My design engages all senses to create an inclusive space for people with physical and neurological disabilities. Informed by my research, I aim to manipulate sensory experiences—sometimes challenging comfort zones—to evoke emotional and physical responses. Flexible exhibition areas will adapt to different sensory focuses or moods. Inspired by biophilic design, the scheme will integrate natural elements, lighting, and ventilation to enhance wellbeing and reduce energy use. Where needed, controlled environments will provide specific sensory conditions such as temperature or humidity.
Project
The image above showcases the intricate design of the primary structure. The "tree" columns were heavily inspired by Marks Barfield Architects' Cambridge Mosque project and played a key role in shaping the exhibition spaces. Their organic geometry directly influenced the final form of my project, creating a harmonious blend of structure and spatial experience.
