Atelier 02: Urban Monastery: a sanctuary of reflection
Project
In the studio project, the vision is realised as a library and archive complex, complemented with residential spaces. The vision creates a multi-purpose complex that accommodates the centres for learning, self-reflection, meditation, and engaging with the communities in the surrounding area. The intention is to create an environment that makes collective activities and individual contemplations possible.
Project
This aims to create a sanctuary, within an urban environment, that provides a place for knowledge and contemplation. It contributes to the local community in both spiritual and cultural aspects, and intends to shape an atmosphere that helps to experience harmless, inclusive and protective feelings. The design intention aspires to the sense of resonance, to enhance the community spirit and identity, and a sense of belonging within the town.
