Unveiled

Life was ordinary until a new government rose to power, promising safety through surveillance. Cameras were portrayed as tools of reassurance, offering inclusion and awareness. But once elected, the regime revealed its true intentions. Surveillance became total. Free speech vanished, monuments were destroyed, and art was rewritten to glorify the state. Citizens were silenced, and young adults were sent to factories to rebuild the very systems that oppressed them. In one of these factories, a group discovered a forgotten Kinetograph containing raw, unaltered film strips. Realising its power, they secretly built a projector from discarded parts. Escaping to the ruins of Papplewick Pumping Station, they created the Place of Remembrance, a space where truth could be seen again.
