Letterpress
This narrative explores a future where, by 2085, AI has transformed human communication into silent, telepathic exchanges, thought to thought, with no need for spoken words. As this becomes the norm, people gradually lose the ability to engage in real conversation, becoming entirely dependent on AI systems. However, this advanced method of communication demands immense energy, and the infrastructure eventually fails. A global glitch shuts down the system, forcing humanity to start over—rediscovering language, sound, and connection as if learning to speak for the first time. In the wake of this breakdown, society returns to analogue forms of communication, drawing inspiration from the letterpress as a symbol of physical expression, intention, and human connection.
