Kinetoscope

In a future shaped by advanced memory implants inspired by Neuralink, society chases perfection by altering, editing and erasing memories. Initially created for healing, the implants soon redefine life... at a cost. Cyberattacks leave individuals isolated and detached from reality. Sites like Papplewick Pumping Station once once used to store original memories in data centers within their existing wells. After an attack, Sarah scavenges discarded memory fragments sent to a recycling hub, pocketing them to rebuild herself. One reveals Papplewick's hidden artifacts, including a Kinetoscope. Moved by this discovery, she envisions the site reborn as a sanctuary to preserve lost histories, restoring identity and rekindling collective remembrance.
