Wells Maltings Concert Hall

The Wells Maltings Concert Hall project, located in the coastal town of Wells-next-the-Sea, is designed to accommodate up to 300 guests, offering an intimate yet dynamic performance space. The architecture takes inspiration from the surrounding landscape and vernacular materials, integrating seamlessly with its setting. Externally, the building features a refined combination of zinc standing seam cladding and locally sourced dark-faced split flint, grounding it in local tradition while giving it a contemporary edge. The design balances acoustic performance with environmental sensitivity, creating a cultural landmark that celebrates both music and place in the heart of the North Norfolk coast.
