In the decades leading up to 2085, humanity’s overdependence on AI and synthetic realities caused a deep cultural rupture. Vision became distorted through ocular implants, and memory was outsourced to digital archives. Nature collapsed, and ancestral knowledge faded into algorithmic noise. In response, the Department of Human Remembrance (DHR) was formed to restore truth through ritual, land, and embodied experience.
