Civic Architecture - The Makers Museum

Throughout my project, I researched Palladio in depth, thoroughly analysing his principles such as spatial layering, composition, symmetry, and order. These ideas became central to my design process. I applied them by studying the elevation and façade of Newark Castle, using Palladio’s approach to break down its architectural elements. This analysis then informed my own floor plans, where I reflected Palladian principles to create a sense of balance and hierarchy within the spaces. His influence helped guide both the structure and organisation of my design, bridging classical ideas with my contemporary interpretation.
