Hygge & Form

Hygge & Form is a creative community space on the ground floor of Cobden Chambers, a former lace factory steeped in Nottingham’s industrial history. Inspired by the Danish concept of hygge: finding joy in stillness and connection. It supports inclusive, local artistic expression. The integration of clay forms, influenced by Sarah Burton’s pottery, is embedded within the architecture, inviting open, tactile exploration and blurring the line between art and environment. Form reflects structure, space, and creativity. With a climate echoing Denmark’s, the space offers warmth and inspiration year-round- encouraging people to slow down, make, and connect.
